General Ledger module provides the capability to create and maintain journal entries. |

Integrated with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Manager, Sales Order and Invoicing, Purchase Order and Invoicing, Contractor, and Gold modules. |

The data from all other modules can be posted into General Ledger module in a batch mode or can be online mode. |

In online mode, there is no need of any posting and as soon as transaction is saved the General Ledger is updated. |

| Setup |
| The setup window allows user to define master data for the General Ledger module. |

Account Category |
| |
This feature helps user to add account categories. Here user can define a broad category of accounts which will be used for the purpose of making the balance sheet. |

GL Account |
| |
This section deals with how to set up and maintain the chart of accounts. The chart of accounts is basically an extension of the account categories defined in the Account Category Setup. These accounts are the basis of General Ledger. All the transactions in the Journal, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable make use of these accounts. You can name these accounts according to the requirements of your business. |

GL Sub Account |

This feature is an extension to GL accounts; here user can add sub accounts to GL accounts specified earlier. |
 |
Transaction Date Range |
| |
User can set the period for which transactions can be entered. User has to specify the beginning and end of the period and transactions can be entered only for the set period. This transaction date range applies to all the transaction entered in the system right from Sales Order to Journal Entry. |

Journal Detail Entry |
|
There are some transactions which are needed to be entered directly at General Ledger. Those entries can be recorded through this option. |

Journal Detail Query |
|
With the help of this feature user can make query on journal entries made. User can query on any of the active fields of the screen. |
 |
List of Un-Posted Transaction |
|
This screen provides list of un-posted transactions. All transactions that may have been recorded may not have been posted in the General Ledger. This screen is used to view the list of such un-posted transactions. |

Undo General Ledger Posting |
|
There is a provision to undo a transaction, which has already been posted in a given accounting period. |
 |
Change Transaction Date |
|
This screen is used to edit the transaction date of a transaction that has been previously entered into the system. The old transaction date can be replaced with a new transaction date by using this feature. The screen is used to change the transaction date of any transaction in the system unless it is posted. Once the transaction is posted to accounts then the date can not be changed. |

Make Transaction Editable |
|
Through this option user can make transactions editable which have been posted earlier or made view only. |
 |
Make Transaction View Only |
|
Transactions are made view only through this option. No changes can be made to the transactions. This provides a security to data entered. |
 |
GL Posting |
|
Posting distributes journal entries to the General Ledger. User can make changes in the journal entries before posting. Once the entries are posted you cannot make any changes in them. If user feels that some entry needs to be removed you can pass a reverse entry for the particular transaction. |

Journal Register |
| |
This report provides a list of all journal entries made in the General Ledger along with the debit and credit figures. |
 |
Journal Detail Register |
| |
This report provides the user with a list of journal entries along with details of each entry. This is useful for conducting an audit trail for each transaction entry. |
 |
General Ledger Summary (With Posted Data): |
| |
This is a comprehensive account wise list of posted transactions of that particular account that have been made in a given accounting period. |
 |
General Ledger (Detail with all Data): |
| |
This report provides detailed information of all posted, un-posted and both the transactions that have been made in a given accounting period. |
 |
Transaction Posting Summary |
| |
This report provides list of transactions that has been posted to GL accounts with GL posting options at transactions tab. |
 |
Customer Ledger |
| |
The Customer Ledger report prints details of all the transactions with customers. For e.g., details of Invoices, details of the payments that customer has made or credit invoices that you have issued in favor of the customer. The statement prints all the details together and shows the current status of each customer as to what is due from him. |
 |
Trial Balance |
| |
This trial balance report gives information of all GL accounts i.e. both posted and un-posted. User can view report in both summarized and detailed form |
